“Green Bag Man” is a subscription service.
Bags are checked every 4 weeks. Bags are collected, even when not completely full. It is your responsibility as the customer to notify us if you DO NOT wish for the bag to be collected. A quick text or email is all that’s required. By doing so, no call out to your address is necessary and your bag will be skipped, free of charge. Please notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick up date.
All bags are collected every 12 weeks minimum, regardless of waste amount (x 2 consecutive missed pick ups, maximum). This is to cover basic costs associated with bag & frame hire, admin tasks and other business expenses, while also helping to keep the bag weight levels down and improve bag lifespan.
We appreciate your understanding that this service is best suited for people with frequent and persistent green waste removal needs.
A surcharge of $5 applies to extremely heavy waterlogged bags (grass in particular). This is to help cover the excessive fees from Cairns City Council with their weigh-in, weigh-out commercial green waste disposal method. The sheer added weight of water is often underestimated. My dumping fees more than double during periods of heavy rain.
Your service will cease if your amount owing exceeds $50. Accounts with an outstanding balance for more than 12 weeks are subject to an additional $5 overdue fee.
Once paid, service can continue. Accounts that continually have outstanding debts will be withdrawn.
Please remember – your bag is for green waste only, such as grass clippings, tree trimmings, palm fronds, weeds, etc.
Please do not put large rocks, soil/dirt, cardboard, treated timber, animal droppings or any general household rubbish in the bag.
